Yesterday submitted a request for time off to bowl the US Open. If approved, I can then see if I can get ready in time...

Watching Lynda Barnes throw so many extraordinary shots in the Queen's show is quite motivating!

    USBC Nationals Update...

Tuesday, April 29, 2008, 09:22 AM EST [General]

    USBC Women's Nationals stats:

    Team: 575

    Doubles: 596

    Singles: 672

Comments: Team: I think this was the most nervous I have ever been for USBC nationals. The first four shots off my hand were left! At least this was the right way to miss. Now if I could have only made a spare...settled down the final game.

Doubles: Me & Amanda Burgoyne. She bowled great. Her teammate, OK but not spectacular. Again with the nerves, but not as bad as the previous day for Team event. I strapped on the sassle...we are in 20th right now, all thanks to her! Spares were a bit better today, but still horrendous IMO.

Singles: Hey, I woke up. Threw some really good shots for not having bowled a league in 2 years! Even got to use my 2-piece Stinger the final game to stay out of trouble. I thought about how I have actual bowling experience I drew from to move and adjust. No horrendous shots at all this three game set. Beyond my minimal expectations, this set gives me motivation to go home, practice, work out, and ponder a US Open entry in August....22nd right now in the standings. Scores are high in singles this year....

    Equipment these days....

Saturday, March 29, 2008, 06:19 PM EST [General]

This is all I have for the moment:

    1. Twisted Fury

    2. Rival

    3. Black Widow Pearl

    Total Inferno

    4. Slugging 2-piece Stinger orrrr, Elements Ice (If I can find one)

    5. Plastic

Nothing else that hooks more b/c I have tailored it to Nationals Only: the house has wood lanes. No need for anything stronger than what I have...

far cry from the 75+ bowling balls tossed aimlessly in the parking lot beside the motorhome in Virginia while on AMF staff in days of old....
